Robert La Touche BA (Mod) MSc DC MMCA MCC

spineRobert La Touche graduated with an honours degree in Natural Sciences from Trinity College Dublin in 1972 and went on to study for and receive an MSc in Marine Zoology. He then worked as a marine biologist for University College Galway for 14 years.

During this time his interest in complimentary medicine grew until in 1994 he enrolled in the McTimoney Chiropractic College, graduating with a Diploma in Chiropractic in 1997.

Since then he has devoted considerable efforts to improve his chiropractic care through continuous professional development courses. His chiropractic care now consists of mainly Sacro-Occipital Technique “(SOT) which is  highly diagnostic and  effective and gentle. Patients being treated with SOT are re-diagnosed using extremely sensitive SOT indicators at each visit and their progress is continually monitored”.

Most care also involves gently mobilising the spine with Power Assisted Micro-manipulation (Theraflex machine) one of the more significant contributions to spinal care since chiropractic has been practised.

Other care includes soft tissue treatment, kinesiology techniques and exercise. Electrotherapy is also offered for highly inflammed areas suitable for treatment. The practitioner is also qualified to dispense and treat with Blackmore Celloid Minerals.
